About the Job:
Job Announcement: Medical Biller
Heart and Vascular Wellness Center is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our dedicated billing department. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for accuracy, a strong understanding of cardiology billing, and the ability to contribute to a fast-paced healthcare setting.
This is an on-site position. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Submit clean claims to payers and follow up on denials or unpaid accounts.
- Review CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for accuracy.
- Post payments and reconcile EOBs and ERAs.
- Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding balances.
- Assist with appeals and documentation support.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medi-Cal, and commercial payer guidelines.
- Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on clinical documentation.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of billing experience in a specialty clinic preferred.
- Knowledge of cardiac coding and EHR systems (eCW preferred).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
